Grade Papers
Upload photos or PDFs of student work. The AI grades against one rubric; you review and export.
Grade Papers is the heart of Grade Coach. You upload student work, tell the AI how to grade it, and it scores every paper against the same rubric. You stay the teacher: you review and edit every grade before anything leaves your screen.
How to grade a class
- Open Grade Papers. Choose Add by student for multi-page work, or Quick upload when each file is one student's work.
- Upload photos, image files, or PDFs. PDFs are converted page by page into images for grading; pages past the allowed paper/page limit are ignored.
- Write Teacher Notes. Include point values, question count, grading rules, and anything the AI should pay attention to.
- Optionally upload an answer key, or put the rubric in the notes for open-ended work.
- Review the detected questions, start grading, then edit any score or comment on the grade sheet.
- Export to CSV, PDF, Google Sheets, Google Classroom, or copy to clipboard. Tag the run to a class when you want it to feed the class record and Gradebook.
Tips
- For essays or packets, use Add by student so all pages grade as one submission.
- No answer key is needed for open-ended work; a clear rubric in your notes is enough.
- After grading, the class Gradebook is where you check averages, missing work, and edits.
Student work stays private. Original paper images are not stored as public files, and scores remain under your control until you export or share them.
